For those who are most familiar with XenApp 6 and not ready to take a XenApp 6.5 exam as of yet, you need to hurry and sign up for the 1Y0-A18 CCA for Citrix XenApp 6 Basic Administration exam.

The 1Y0-A20 CCA for Citrix XenApp 6.5 Administration exam is already live.

The only other discontinuation that is coming soon, made public so far, is the CXS-202-2I Citrix XenServer 5.6 Administration training course. It is being replaced with the CXS-203-1 Citrix XenServer 6.0 Administration training course.

To see the complete list, browse to Citrix Education's Discontinuations web page.

Oh you didn’t have it scheduled. That sucks. Maybe you can get into a testing center on the 30th or 31st. Call them and tell them you’d like to be contacted if there are any cancellations if they don’t have any openings.

Just checked out the Citrix education website all is not lost :-). My certification will still remain valid until further notice. I almost had heart attack when I saw the changes as I am one Exam away from my CCEE.

Will have to purchase your new Xenapp 6.5 stuff in the not too distant future thanks for the updates. As I am planning migrate our servers to Xenapp 6.5.

    Best Wishes,

If you take the A18 Exam before 1/31, do you automatically get your CCA for XenApp 6.5 (similar to when you got your CCA for PS 4.5 you also got it for XenApp 5.0), or would their actually be 2 separate certifications: 1 CCA for XenApp 6 and 1 CCA for XenApp 6.5 (I ask because I’m going for the CCEE for Virtualization and it has both listed as a qualified exam).

Would it be worth trying to take the A18 before 1/31, or would there be no benefit and just go after the A20?
