I apologize for the delay in getting out this message, but if you are scheduled for either the Citrix CCA 1Y0-A18 XenApp 6 or 1Y0-A19 XenDesktop 5 exams at Citrix Synergy in Barcelona, get there early and spend some time taking the Citrixxperience practice exams in the Learning Lounge before taking the actual exam.

I took the exam this morning and thankfully passed it. Just wanted to say that your material both the study guide and the exam prep was extremely helpful. I also used Trainsignal as well which definitely helped me prepare for the test. The questions were very fair and nearly all of them were based on material from citrix edocs presentations they have made.
One side note is that in your study guide there is some information states pre-installation requirements for quick deploy – the study guide stated MS SQL Server 2008 Express is required but the citrix edocs states an enterprise edition. Are you able to clarify?
I am going to be going for the Xenapp 6 basic administration exam shortly!

Congrats on passing. A while back, someone pointed out that the eDocs info is a misprint (I have forgotten to tell them about it, but I will). Here is a newer KB article that makes it clear that quick deploy uses SQL Server 2008 Express: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX128008
The article points out that if SQL Express is not installed, the quick deploy method is grayed out. I’ll be sure to point it out in the practice exam. Thanks for reminding me.
