Using my web site stats, I've compiled a list of the hottest Citrix exams right now and a list of the hottest Citrix exams so far this year. No, it's not a scientific study (I'm beginning to sound like a broken record), but I think that Citrixxperience.com, being the only Citrix certification preparation web site, has a pretty good pulse on Citrix test taking trends.

Honestly, my results are a little flawed, for several reasons, but one reason is that I have not yet released the 1Y0-A01 exam, yet it is streaming up the charts in my web stats. When I do release it, I will create ads for it, and it will show up even more. So, I'd have to say that as of right now, at this very moment, the 1Y0-A01 Citrix XenServer Enterprise Edition 4.0: Administration exam is the hottest Citrix exam.
Glaringly missing from the lists (at least to me): 1Y0-700 Citrix Application Firewall 8.0: Administration. What, doesn't anyone use this product?

I am a bit confused. I keep seeing references to the 1y1-456 exam and the 1y0-456. Which is the correct exam number? Citrix does not list a 1y1-456 exam on their website. What is the 1y1-456?

When the 456 exam first came out (even after beta testing) it was numbered with the 1Y1 prefix. When I asked Citrix about this, they said it was because it was a different type of exam than they had ever done before so they thought the 1Y1 prefix was appropriate to differentiate it from all of their 1Y0 exams. Well, there must have been too much confusion because the 1Y1 prefix had always been designated for the beta exams. They eventually changed it to 1Y0. So now it is the 1Y0-456. Hope this clears it up.
