The Citrix Education catalog. If you're like me, you've overlooked it since they implemented it a year (?) or two (?) ago. Now it's my first go-to resource when I need to quickly research a Citrix exam, training, or exams and training for a specific Citrix product. At first glance, it might seem too bulky and not worth your time. Trust me, it's very easy to use and takes less than 60 seconds to find what you're looking for in most cases.
I don't know how many people email me each year asking about Citrix's exams, which I don't mind and is totally understandable, when they could go to the Citrix Education catalog and find the information themselves in just a couple of minutes. That must be where the "rub" is. It does take a few minutes to find and "configure" the catalog the way you want it to bring up the results you desire, but once you use it, you'll find it invaluable as I do.
Browse to training.citrix.com. Click the menu item, Catalog. On the left side of the page, either perform a keyword search for the exam, product, or training you want to search for or narrow down the choices by selecting the checkboxes. The checkboxes include Products, Language, Format, Level, Audience, and Duration.
For an example, I wanted to find out which exams are still available for XenApp. I chose XenApp > English > Exam and I had the results right there without going any further. As of the time of writing this guide, the results were: A25 Engineering a Citrix Virtual Solution; A22 Citrix XenApp 6.5 Advanced Administration; A16 Architecting a Citrix Virtualization Solution; and A20 Citrix XenApp 6.5 Administration.
I could have clicked on any one of them to get the scoop on my desired exam.
I didn't use it this time, but I could have used the drop-down menus on top of the results, which allow you to sort by Featured, Newest, or Name and allow you to choose up to 50 results on the page.
Citrix Education's exams and training catalog is simply a resource you can't do without when researching exams and training for your product.
